Objective: To enhance intellectual and social development.
Method: A cup with a few seeds, cotton wool.
Sprinkle seeds on the cotton, dampen it and see the shoots growing slowly day by day.
Conduct experiment as to how light, air, water, earth is essential for growth.
Prepare 4 tins –
- Earth, seed, water, light
- Earth, no water, seed, light
- Earth, water, no seed, light
- Earth, water, seed, no light
Keep the tins labeled and see results after a few days. The child will notice that the tin which had earth, water, seed light was the only one which showed good results.
The child with his own first hand experience realizes the importance of plants and their germination.
